Pearl Bar & Dining to Welcome New Sister Restaurant KORAL

Bellevue.com

Bellevue's Pearl Bar & Dining is celebrating its three year anniversary on November 17, 2011. Perhaps the biggest birthday present that Pearl is getting is that it will soon be joined by new sister restaurant KORAL. Chef Bradley Dickinson and Mikel Rogers, owners and operators of Pearl, shared the plan to open KORAL in early 2012.

KORAL will occupy the 7,800-square foot space where Twisted Cork currently sits in the Hyatt Regency Bellevue. Dickinson and Rogers describe KORAL as a new American Tavern. "As sleek and sexy as Pearl is, ... KORAL will feel like it's been there a long time. ... It's not going to have a steakhouse feel with a lot of dark wood. It's going to be upscale but accessible. Not too fancy." The more casual restaurant will feature an exhibition kitchen and be open daily, serving dinner and weekend brunch first before adding lunch to the menu.

The Puget Sound Business Journal first reported the news and has the complete scoop.
