Bellevue recently electrified its transportation landscape with the launch of Bellhop, an innovative all-electric, on-demand, and free shuttle service. Launched in August 2023, Bellhop is designed to make commuting within Bellevue more efficient and convenient. Operating on designated routes across key locations in Bellevue, the new free shuttle service provides a hassle-free and reliable transportation option for Bellevue residents and visitors alike.

Using Bellhop is as simple as 1-2-3. Users need to download the Circuit app, hail a ride, and wait for the driver to confirm they’re on the way. The service is available within a 6-mile radius of the downtown core, making it easier and greener to navigate downtown Bellevue from Bellevue Botanical Garden to Spring District to Meydenbauer Bay Park and more.

The Bellhop program is fully funded by hotel room taxes and does not impact taxpayers or Bellevue residents. It operates 12 hours per day, every day from Sunday to Thursday, 9 AM – 9 PM, and Friday to Saturday, 10 AM – 10 PM. Please note, BellHop rides are not available on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day. The service is pet-friendly, as long as they sit on the user’s lap or on the floor directly next to them.

Bellhop is a partnership between Visit Bellevue and Circuit, a transportation company operating in about 34 cities across the US. Its mission is to replace short car rides of two miles or less, which account for 35% of car trips, with more sustainable options. Bellhop is projected to cut carbon dioxide emissions in Bellevue by over 100 metric tons annually. The on-demand, all-electric connector transportation service signifies a meaningful stride towards sustainability and is expected to revolutionize last-mile travel while enhancing the visitor experience in Bellevue.

Bellhop is not just a shuttle service; it’s a commitment to a greener, more connected Bellevue. So, the next time you're in Bellevue or another city with a Bellhop presence, consider taking a ride into the future of sustainable transit.
