Event Description

This four-week series, taught by Parent-Baby Group instructors, will cover toddler development from 18 months to 3 years old. Each class will cover topics listed below and allow time for questions and answers.

Week 1: Development
What’s going on with your growing toddler physically, emotionally and cognitively? Topics include: tantrums, adding a sibling, separation anxiety, coping skills, bedtime, naps and more.

Week 2: Potty Training
Signs of readiness; daytime vs. nighttime, how early is too early, how to handle regressions, challenges, pitfalls and how to unplug the power struggles.

Week 3: Family Nutrition & Feeding Your Growing Toddler
Avoiding food battles, how much do they really need to eat, weaning from breast or bottle, the family table, cultural messages about food.

Week 4: Discipline & Self Esteem
Natural and logical consequences, emotional intelligence, setting age-appropriate boundaries and limits, alternatives to physical punishment.

Babes-in-arms are welcome, but please leave toddlers at home. We can’t talk about them when they’re in the room.
