Event Description

This course, offered by TRACKS and 1 World Outings, is for anyone looking to start cross country skiing! A great activity for all ages, we'll show you the basics and open the doors to trips throughout the winter. The course consists of one weekday evening lecture and a full-day weekend instructional field trip. You may attend one or both. Lecture: RESCHEDULED to Feb. 10, Highland Community Center, 7-8:30pm; We will cover the basic how-tos of planning a trip, choosing and renting gear, and getting started on your skis. Field trip: February 28th, Transportation provided, meet at the Highland Community Center. This will be a full day trip with a beginner lesson and plenty of time to explore on your own. All ages welcome, though children must be accompanied by an adult. 8am-5pm. *Gear is not provided, you must obtain your own equipment prior to trip. For rental advice please attend the lecture.
