Event Description

Learn what and when children might be learning from screens as well as how we can support children’s media activities. We will discuss the importance and power of play in children’s development, and how children use play to build relationships and increase their understanding of the world. Finally, we will learn tips for integrating play into daily life, and ways to make the most of ever-present media and technology.

Sarah Lytle is the Director of Outreach and Education at the Institute for Learning & Brain Sciences at the University of Washington. I-LABS is an interdisciplinary center that studies early learning and brain development. Sarah has a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology and specializes in early learning and screen media.
