Event Description

All children deserve a safe and stable place to live. Whether they remain in their home, are reunited with their families, or live permanently with families other than their birth families, long-term stability has major positive outcomes for youth. This panel and community discussion will explore the avenues to achieving permanency and the positive impact it has on youth development.

PANEL & DISCUSSION TOPICS
What resources exist to help families get the support they need to stay together?
How do children end up in foster care, and what are alternatives are out there?
How does permanency help young people develop skills as they transition into adulthood?
What is the outcome for youth transitioning into adulthood when permanency is not achieved?
