Combining the elegant style and expressive techniques of classical Chinese dance and one of China’s four most treasured tragic love stories, the world-renowned Beijing Dance Academy greets audiences on the west coast with this newly choreographed, awards winning, romantic dance drama, the “Butterfly Lovers – Liang Zhu 梁祝” for the first presentation in the US.

This artistic creation delivered with the universal language of dance is a grand collaboration by a dream team of top alumni talents with roots from the Beijing Dance Academy, including our own treasure from the Pacific Northwest - Director Li Hengda. The dance drama reinterprets the beautiful legends of Liang Zhu with a masterful presentation for a new generation, traversing history, bridging cultures and creating a new heritage.
