Event Description

Long-standing systemic health and social inequities put People of Color in King County at increased risk of getting sick and dying from COVID-19. What we learn about these issues from our presenter, Matias Valenzuela, Equity Director for Public Health Seattle/King County, will be applied as we work, in small groups, to select small businesses owned by People of Color in under-resourced communities for micro-loans.
Please join us in creating funding for these microloans by donating to Kiva.org through FUMCB at fumcbellevue.org/donate or by mailing a check to the church office at 1934 108th Ave NE, Bellevue, WA 98004. All funds collected up to one thousand dollars will be doubled. Please indicate that the funds are for Kiva when donating.

NOTE: In this Zoom meeting you will be asked to have your video and audio off until we go to breakout rooms (virtually) to choose borrowers. The program will not be recorded.
